As first the generation American in her family, Daisy Simo (23 years old) is determined to make the “American Dream” happen for herself to represent her family. With her strong Mexican roots instilled, Daisy is focused on introducing her essence and talents to the music world by being unapologetically Latina. Recently, she signed to GStarr Entertainment as their first female talent on their roster after she left her corporate bank teller job in California to pursue her career as an independent singer, rapper and song-writer. Best known now as “La Daisy”, Daisy was discovered by veteran music manager and industry executive, Gabriel “Gaby” Acevedo, through Instagram after she posted several multi-lingual freestyle videos. Right away, Acevedo approached her as he saw the vision of Daisy contributing to the female movement in Hip-Hop and Latin Urban with her West Coast flair, and up bringing.

Born and raised in Coachella, California, Daisy was influenced by Hip-hop music in the early 2000s when her mom would play it on the radio along with a mixture of cumbia, gospel and all types of other genres that inspire her today. Daisy always knew she would be in music or the arts as she played instruments in middle school and participated in artistic (drama) activities in High School. During her childhood, her parents, who are immigrants from Mexico, hit a rough economical patch and sent Daisy along with her sister to live in Mexico with her grandparents. This was a monumental time for her as she connected with her deep roots and ancestry, and has influenced her music style. Her goal is to become a fusion of Selena Quintanilla-Perez while standing strong, confident and versatile with her sound. From the amazing Daisy, “I will show the world and prove many wrong.”
